Biography

  • Anwesha Mukherjee is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, at IIT Madras. She joined the department in August, 2025. She received her Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, in 2019, specializing in the design and fabrication of carbon-nanomaterials based gas sensors. She subsequently held postdoctoral positions at Tel Aviv University, Israel (Apr 2019 - Sep 2023), and the National University of Singapore (NUS) (Feb 2024 - Mar 2025), where she worked on advanced sensing platforms based on multi-gate silicon field effect transistors and MEMS devices. She is currently a member of the Centre for NEMS and Nanophotonics (CNNP) at IIT Madras.
