High speed equalizers

High speed broadband digital communication over lossy and dispersive media such as backplanes, optical fibers, or ethernet cables needs equalization at either end of the communication link to achieve low bit error rates. We have worked on linear and decision feedback equalizers for backplane and multi mode fiber links. We are investigating various types of passive and active high speed equalizers with a focus on compact and low power realizations.
