I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) at IIT Madras and affiliated with the Center for Responsible AI (CeRAI). I received my BTech in EE from IIT Kanpur in 2016 and completed my MS and PhD in EE at the University of Southern California (USC) in 2022 under the guidance of Prof. Salman Avestimehr. Following my PhD, I was a postdoctoral researcher with Prof. Olgica Milenkovic at the Coordinated Science Laboratory (CSL), University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), for a year. Subsequently, I served as a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Genomic Biology (IGB) at UIUC until July 2024, where I worked on Genomic Security and Privacy under Prof. Carl Gunter. I also had the opportunity to be a visiting researcher at MBZUAI, hosted by Prof. Praneeth Vepakomma, before joining IIT Madras. My research interests span Information and Coding Theory, Machine Unlearning, Federated Learning, and Hyperbolic Geometry.
