LATEST Update: This is the model solutions to (quiz2-solutions). You can collect your quiz-2 answer sheets today (Nov.22) from the TA who will be in my office between 10.00am to 10.30am. With reference to frame detection, show that for multibit framing, the average frame aquisition time (in bit periods) is given by (N^2/2)(p/(1-p)) + N/2, where for a L-bit marker, p=(1/2^L). In this expression, if we take L=1, do we get the same expression as the alternating 1-0 pattern based single-bit framing with sequential search? If not, why not?
