Using either Erbium or Ytterbium as a gain medium, we have demonstrated a variety of CW and pulsed lasers. Further enhancements are also areas of active research.

• Pulsed depletion laser

This work is supported by a number of national funding agencies, and is also in collaboration with other national laboratories and industrial partners.
