Dipole Applet

This applet will help you to visualize the radiation pattern of a dipole as well as to compute the directivity, radiation resistance and reactance (relative to the current maximum) and input resistance and reactance.

Here the radiation resistance is computed from the radiated power and reactance is computed by using sine and cosine integrals. These integrals are computed numerically and that's why there may be some small deviations in the values from the actual ones.

As the dipole has an omnidirectional pattern, only the elevation plane pattern is displayed in the applet.
