Title: Quantumness in devices and protocols - Contextuality in continuous variable systems.

Abstract :

Characterizing the uniquely quantum properties that give rise to quantum advantage for computing and information processing is of tremendous interest today. Contextuality is a fundamental resource known to be essential for quantum computation, steering, and secure quantum communication. While several tests for contextuality have been proposed and experimentally realized in discrete variable systems, contextuality in continuous variable systems remains less explored. We study tests of contextuality in continuous variable systems, focusing on their physical realization using trapped ion systems. Going forward, we aim to examine the noise tolerance of these tests, better methods of testing in continuous variable systems, and explore their potential applications in quantum key distribution protocols.
