Course Content	Neurons as computational units: models for neurons (Hodgkin-Huxley; Leaky-integrate and Fire), Learning in artificial neural networks: types of ANNs, learning algorithms, role of non-volatile memory devices as synapses and device requirements, physics of filamentary memristive devices, modeling of memristive devices, memristive crossbar arrays: design challenges and requirement of selectors, emerging devices for artificial neurons (Mott insulators, threshold switching resistive switches).
