Course ContentNumerical methods involving methods for finding the roots of an equation (bisection, Newton-Raphson), solutions to ordinary differential equations (Euler, Runge-Kutta, explicit and implicit methods), matrix methods (Gauss elimination, LU decomposition), interpolation (linear, cubic spline), and iterative methods. Case studies from engineering disciplines will be used to illustrate the applicability of these methods, with a discussion on sources of numerical errors.
