In Spring 2013, I will be teaching EE5120 Error Control Coding. This is an introductory course on coding theory with an emphasis on algebraic codes. There are no formal prerequisites but I do assume a basic knowledge of probability. Course details are given below.

Textbook: Error Control Coding by Shu Lin and Daniel Costello Jr.

The book contains more material than can be covered in a single semester. I will be covering a selection of topics from Chapters 1-8, 11-12, and 17.
