Mr. Sandeep Palakkal was born in Kozhikode, Kerala, India in 1981. He did Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering at Government Engineering College, Thrissur, Kerala in 2003 (degree awarded by the University of Calicut). He received Master of Technology in Communication Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Surahtkal, India in 2007. Currently, he is pursuing research in signal processing towards Ph.D. in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India; his research supervisor is Prof. K.M.M. Prabhu. He was a lecturer in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kollam, Kerala during 2004-05. He was a project intern during 2006-07 in the Signal Processing Lab, Aerospace Electronics and Systems Division, National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore, India, where he did his Master's thesis with Dr. S.V. Narasimhan. Mr. Sandeep is a student member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
