Healthcare Technology Innovation Centre signed an MoU with National Instruments

Healthcare Technology Innovation Centre (HTIC, IIT Madras) signed an MoU with National Instruments (NI) to collaborate on the design and development of new, affordable, high-impact medical devices based on NI platforms. As part of this collaboration, National Instruments extends monetary and technology support to HTIC under Planet NI program. HTIC will use NI platforms extensively to accelerate its med-tech innovationsDr Mohanasankar, Head of HTIC on behalf of HTIC and Jayaram Pillai, MD, National Instruments India, Russia and Arabia, on behalf of National Instruments signed the MoU in a press meet held today at HTIC, IIT Madras Research park.

Mithun M.S. (Ph D Scholar) won the best paper award in the area of health care technology for their paper "A GMR sensor based guiding tool for location of metal shrapnel during surgery" in ICST 2013 held at Wellington New Zealand on 3-5 Dec 2013. Dr. Boby George and Dr. Mohanshankar Sivaprakasam are coauthors of this paper.
