Welcome to the Integrated Optoelectronics Group, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Madras. Since its inception in January 2007, we have been actively engaged in novel design, fabrication and characterizations of optoelectronic devices/circuits for high speed data communication/processing systems and various sensor applications. Presently, the group is equipped with microfabrication facilities and the research activities are mainly limited to silicon photonics (SOI rib waveguide devices) and lithium niobate integrated optics. However, we are very much active in building nanoscale device fabrication facilities for advanced research. The group has already won a number of sponsored projects funded by the various government agencies. |
