Title: Two days Outreach Program for Women on Research initiatives in the area of High Voltage Engineering at IIT Madras The rapid increase in demand for electric power has led to phenomenal growth in power generation and transmission.This has warranted the development of compact, reliable, and cost-effective insulation systems. Developing new insulating materials and structures, evaluating their long-term performance, and suitable diagnostic testing methods become the responsibilities of high voltage engineering. Appraising the teachers from engineering colleges, researchers and industry personnel on these recent developments has become essential. Further, to boost the required research activity, generate a pool of high-voltage engineering researchers and meet the demands of the industries and academia, IIT Madras High voltage group is scheduling a two-day outreach program from 8-9 October 2022.
