Wireless Communications
Overview:
Wireless communication
systems, both cellular and local area networks (LANs),
have been deployed with great success. These technologies
are now evolving to support broadband data applications
that require higher data rates and Quality of Service
(QoS) guarantees. This requires significant developments
in the physical layer design of communication systems
as well as improved interaction between the physical
layer and the other layers of the network. The research
work carried out at IIT Madras addresses these basic
problems in wireless communication systems.
